Book Blogger Hop is a weekly meme hosted by Crazy for Books. It's aim is to bring book bloggers and readers together to share the love of the written word. It's also an opportunity for book bloggers to connect with other book lovers, make new friends, support each other and generally spread the worl about books.
This weeks question is from Britta who blogs for I Like These Books:
What book-to-movie adaptation have you most liked? Which have you disliked?
There were two good book-to-movie adaptations that I liked. The first being Harry Potter and the second being The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. The one that I disliked the most was Stanley Kubrick's The Shining.
The Shining was so not like the book!!! It's definitely one of my least favourite book adaptations!!

The Harry Potter films and Lord of the Rings are the absolute best! Have a good week!

LoL, I am in total agreement about LoTR. In terms of The Shining, I never read the book. However, I felt that he did an excellent job in making the audience *feel* the time passing. But I actually kind of address that in my hop ^_~

I like the Harry Potter and LOTR movies too, they brought the worlds in the books to life even if they didn't stick to the books 100%. I remember reading the Shining ages ago but I am not a big fan of scary movies so I don't remember the movie!

I love Lord of The Rings! I think it was well done as well!

I've never read The Shining and the film scared me for years...I think it might have been that carpet! I think seeing the film without knowing the book must make a big difference.
ReplyDeleteAgree with you on HP and LOTR. I don't remember much about The Shining movie except that it freaked me out. One word: redrum.
ReplyDeleteGlad to have found you via the Hop!

ReplyDeleteI prefer the book - sometimes the movie just doesn't get the whole story. :)
Stop by my blog if you like.
