Teaser Tuesday is a weekly meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! All you have to do is:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) "teaser" sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn't give too much away! You don't want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR lists if they like your teaser!
The stench of the prison rose up. I think this smell is not only filth - blood and excrement and decay - but is the smell of fear, of generations of people abandoned without hope of release. It never fails to terrify me.

ReplyDeleteGreat teaser! :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, that would terrify me too. I usually don't associate smells with emotions though. My teasers are from The Twisted Thread by Charlotte Bacon and The Emperor of Nihon-ja by John Flanagan. Happy reading!
